Hey Good Lookin’, Whatcha Got Cookin’…
The vegan consumer market has been taken by storm in recent months, with the overhaul of Alpro, the US – and hopefully soon to be UK’s – release of Quorn’s Vegan Burger, MooFree’s mouth-watering new range of chocolate bars, Swedish Glace’s seasonable frozen cheesecakes and the release of the first British-made and ready-to-eat vegan pizza from Redwood’s.
In fact, with such a sumptuous array of topical and innovative new products to sample, I have taken it upon myself to review a handful of the ones that immediately catch the eye and initiate the salivation – most typical of the notorious fictional character, Homer Simpson.
Thyme for Brussels
Well, Christmas day is over and whether you’re sad, relieved or simply couldn’t care less, it’s strange to think that, as a nation, we spend over four months preparing for this holiday yet it is over in an instant. However, it is the season of good will and a time of giving, so, I thought I’d hold a little competition.

Spoilt for choice…
Thinking about it, I don’t think I’ve cooked myself a proper meal in weeks. Now, I’m not suggesting I’ve lost my appetite (far from it) but for some reason, the motivation to cook a meal just hasn’t been there.
Flicking through magazines and cookbooks, I see recipes upon recipes of mouth-watering dishes, likely to spark inspiration in the mind of any aspiring cook – but not me. Why? I mean, I look at the pictures, I peruse the directions, I look again at the pictures, then read through the ingredients, yet whilst the foodie in me is screaming out to try these recipes and experiment with the flavours, I can’t seem to find the desire to cook.
