Walking On Sunshine…

British weather never fails to surprise me! I can’t imagine what’s caused such a dramatic change in climate (considering that there was frost on the windows just over a week ago) but I take back what I said in my last post. The last couple of days have been absolutely beautiful – there hasn’t been a cloud in the sky and it’s been ever so warm!

Missing the deadline…

OK, truth be told, my promise of a new recipe within the week really didn’t live up to much, but I do have some good excuses this time.

Although this post has taken longer than I had originally promised, I have got a truly hearty variation of cottage pie that I’d like to share with you which is bound to warm your cotton socks even during this sad excuse for a British summer that we are currently experiencing…

No excuses…

Of late, I have become undeniably rubbish at blogging…

I’d like to say I had an excuse – or even a reason – for just abandoning you, but I’m ashamed to say that I have just been damn lazy. Hopefully, however, having given myself a kick up the backside, I should get this  blog rolling again!

Hooray!

All I can say, is please don’t be surprised if I randomly disappear for another few months. Those who know me would agree when I tell you that I am terribly inconsistent with the majority of my projects (that isn’t to say Vegan Kid isn’t important to me – because it is! To Put A Long Story Short…

You didn’t think I would write a review without getting some inspiration, did you? With ‘Vegan Cookies Invade Your Cookie Jar’, you may find it difficult to think of a cookie that Isa and Terry haven’t already covered, but they do leave room for you to add your own flare and I certainly got plenty of inspiration to fuel my ever-eager culinary creativity.

Bit of a tongue twister there!

It’s not so much a recipe but  more an alternative way of constructing, pairing and serving Isa’s already flawless cookies.

If you move away from the “American cookie” and lean more towards the classic English and European “biccies”, well, I think there’s still plenty of fun to be had!

For The Love Of Cookies…

As Far as I’m concerned, Isa Chandra Moskowitz and Terry Hope Romero are saints among vegan bakers! Divine cookies, light & fluffy cupcakes and perfectly thin crepes are just the tip of the iceberg.

Among their current five books, they have managed to deliver an assortment of unmatchable recipes for foods that would have previously been deemed impossible for your average vegan baker.

And ‘Vegan Cookies Invade Your Cookie Jar’ is no exception…

Absence makes the heart grow fonder…

It’s always sad to see a restaurant close, but if anyone decided to read a review of this restaurant now, they could be forgiven for thinking that it was not a sorry goodbye. However, I for one, loved this eatery! It was the first vegetarian restaurant I ever visited and it definitely evokes fond memories. The warm and friendly ambience, along with the trendy and unique ‘American-diner’ décor – Eat & Two Veg was a true gem in the heart of London and just a walk away from Regents Park.
