Walking On Sunshine…

British weather never fails to surprise me! I can’t imagine what’s caused such a dramatic change in climate (considering that there was frost on the windows just over a week ago) but I take back what I said in my last post. The last couple of days have been absolutely beautiful – there hasn’t been a cloud in the sky and it’s been ever so warm!

I’d like to think it was going to stay this way for a while but alas, the papers have already informed us that this weather won’t last. In fact, by next week we’re supposed to see the return of those dull, grey and cloudy skies that swamp the British Isles for most of the year.

I’ll remain hopeful that this prediction is incorrect, but either way, we might as well make the most of the good weather while it lasts.

And in making the most of it, there is no better time to invite over some friends, get outside and get the barbeque going. With a glass of wine in one hand, you can listen to those tofu kebabs and veggie burgers sizzle away…

But how about a quiet afternoon outside? A chance to smell the fresh air, listen to the birds singing and bask in those glorious rays of sunshine? A time for pure relaxation!

Whatever you decide, have a great weekend!

It’s been beautiful up here in Scotland, too! So which did you opt for? Friends and barbecue or peace and quiet? We went for peace, quiet and books….
Who’s the cute pooch, by the way?

As much as I would have loved for the barbeque, i had to go for the peace and quiet… I needed to take a break after a very long week!

=)

The pooch is my little Poppy! Take a look on the about me page, or type her name in the search box – She’s my reason for smiling even on those horrible ‘the-whole-world-is-against-you’ days!

Of course! I had read about her and admired her before, just forgot…

I’m afraid we’re back to miserable weather up here in central Scotland. Cold, torrential rain showers and even some sleet the other day… :( Back to warm jumpers and warming soups, methinks…
